Southern Cross Animal Stars is a unique business within the animal industry aimed at helping people and their pets get the most out of life together.  Responsible pet ownership is the key to our training.  We provide quality training and behavioural advice to animal owners.

Today when we think of training animals, dog training immediately comes to mind.  While we specialise in working with and training dogs and their owners, we also pride ourselves on being able to apply our animal training knowledge to any animal that requires our assistance, including cats, birds and horses to mention a few.

We are fully aware that all animals have their own personalities, and all animal owners are different.  As experts in the field we are able to adapt to the needs of the client and their animal.  We are well practiced in adapting our explanations for clients, and also training techniques for the animals involved.  There is no one way to train dogs and other animals; we aim to help the animal and their owner find the best way to train together.  While some people have strong views about training techniques, the Southern Cross Trainers are more than happy to discuss methods and create an individualised service for clients and their pets.

The trainers are energetic and experienced, with a great natural affinity with animals.  Their training, education and experience have helped make them very knowledgeable on many training techniques and behavioural issues.

Training does not necessarily involve teaching new skills to your pet.  The majority of the time, it involves dealing with issues or problems to then allow new skills to be taught.  Our trainers are able to correct and/or modify behaviours to assist getting each animal to fit aptly into their family and greater community.

We offer training services for puppies and adult dogs of all breeds and temperaments and of course most other animals, big or small.
